FIRST RUN GUIDE
From broker connection to your first strategy order
Start with a paper account. Complete these six steps before enabling scheduled execution on a live account.

Connect a broker
Authorize Longbridge, or connect a running IBKR Gateway/TWS session.

Add strategies
Choose one or more strategies available to your account.

Set allocations
Assign each strategy a percentage of total account equity; the total cannot exceed 100%.

Choose execution time
Use a normal scheduled time for the final target, or explicitly enable C-12 tail mode.

Review the combined plan
Check target amounts, net orders, risk gates and estimated child orders before execution.

Track holdings and orders
Use Account positions for broker holdings and Order history for submission and fill records.
1. Connect a broker
Choose one broker account first. Each strategy is deployed to a specific connected account.
IBKR
Start IBKR Gateway or TWS, sign in to Paper or Live, enable API access, then enter the host, port, client ID and optional account number in Desktop. Credentials remain inside Gateway/TWS.
Longbridge · OAuth
Choose Longbridge and complete the browser authorization. Return to Desktop, confirm the authorized account and environment, then deploy strategies to that account.
4. Choose the signal and execution time
Normal schedule · final-close target
At a normal scheduled time, the app adopts the latest completed final-close target. You can choose pre-market, regular hours, after-hours or overnight. The signal is final, but the fill price may gap away from the prior close.
Tail mode · C-12
C-12 is the tail mode. About 12 minutes before the official close, the strategy calculates a target from completed minute data and the app tries to trade near the close. That target can differ from the final close target. If the signed window expires, the app skips the run instead of submitting a late catch-up order.
How combined orders work
Strategies scheduled for the same time are planned together. Shared symbols are netted at the account level, sells are placed before buys, and only symbols managed by the selected strategies are rebalanced.
Managing existing holdings
Account positions show all broker holdings. Desktop only changes symbols owned by the deployed strategies; unrelated holdings stay outside the plan. Pausing or removing a strategy does not immediately liquidate positions or place an order.
How to read orders
The preview is an estimate, not a submitted order. At the scheduled time Desktop refreshes the signed signal, account, quotes and risk checks before sending child orders. Order history records what was actually submitted and returned by the broker.
